Oliva Bella Olive Oils come to you fresh, loaded with flavor, and alive with hints of their native regions, soils, and climates. They are made from single pressings of annual harvests from individual groves. The olives carry the history of their growing seasons and the flavors of their native places. The oils they yield testify to wise stewardship in the fields as well as careful pressing, and the passion and care of the families who tend them.

Our Sicilian family's tiny groves produce single cultivar or “cru” extra virgin olive oil near the town of Ragusa , and their oil carries the prestigious DOP certification, which only 20% of producers can boast. Legend has it that the earliest origins of Italian olive cultivation and oil extraction began in Sicily .

Our Umbrian family farm is situated between the towns of Assisi and Spello, in one of the most important olive oil regions in Italy . Our family produces only 1,700 liters per year of Olio Umbro organic extra virgin olive oil.

Our Olio Biologico is produced from olive groves that coexist with lemon groves. Olive trees and lemon trees sharing the soil is how the hint of citrus shows up in our Biologico. The farm, near Naples , has been in the family for over 400 years.

All of our oils are produced with olives that have been hand harvested. The importance of this is comes from the fact that harvesting olives by hand helps to insure that the fruit is not bruised, reducing the risk of oxidation. This helps maintain a higher level of antioxidants and healthful properties found in the oil. Although it is typically more laborious and tedious, the result is worth the effort.
